Donna Miceli Dance Center of Boston for over 20 years, traveling and performing internationally.  Her training includes classical ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance.  Diane also studied with the Boston Ballet and the Jeanette Neill Dance Studio.  Since moving to Los Angeles more than 25 years ago, she has been delighted with the success and growth of

The DC Dance Center.

Cierra Crowley

Pre-school Classes, Ballet, Jazz, Pointe, Contemporary Dance

Cierra graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.F.A. in Choreography and a B.F.A. in Performance. She grew up in Los Angeles, California and has trained in contemporary, modern, jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, and various styles of aerial arts including tissue and hoop. She was a member of Modern Dance legend Donald McKayle’s Etude Ensemble, performing his older and more recent repertory. She trained and performed with Sheron Wray’s Jazz Dance company, JazzXchange, working with philosophies of improvisation and live music. She was featured in the Johnny Hallyday music video de l’amour. This past year, Cierra was the Co-Chair of Bare Bones Dance Theater, a dance organization promoting outreach that put on numerous shows on the UCI campus. In her earlier years she danced and competed with Talent Lab’s dance company directed by Nikki Blakeslee and Susie Bellows. Cierra choreographed for numerous shows at UCI, as well as created a full-length dance concert of original work for her B.F.A. in Choreography. She has also choreographed for El Camino Real High School and for Talent Lab Dance and Aerial Arts.

Tess Hewlett

Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary

Teen & Senior Company Director           and Choreographer

Tess is originally from Midway, Utah, where she began dancing at age 3. After training at home and around the country the next fifteen years, she was offered a scholarship to the Edge Performing Arts Center.  At 18, she moved to Los Angeles to begin her professional dance career.  Since completing the Edge program in 2009, Ms. Tess has enjoyed both commercial and company work.  She has been featured in music videos for many artists including Jay Z, Lifehouse, David Guetta, LMFAO and Chromeo.  Her commercial and film credits include:  High School Musical 3, Disney Channel promo work, and most recently an Acura commercial.  Ms. Tess's real passion lies in company work.  She has been honored to perform with many companies throughout Southern California.  Company affiliations include:  L.A. Contemporary Dance Company (Kate Hutter), Axiom (Denna Thomsen & Zak Schlegal), Boogiezone's ENTITY Dance Company (Marissa Osato and Will Johnston), collidEdance (Erica Sobol), and SoleVita Dance Company (Joelle Martinec).  Ms. Tess is so excited to be a new member of L.A. Contemporary Dance Company and looks forward to nurturing future dance careers at the DC Dance Center.

Marissa Kamisugi

Faculty - Hip Hop

Marissa is from Honolulu, Hawaii where she grew up training in jazz, ballet, hip-hop, hula, and Tahitian dance. She started dancing with a Drill Team at the age of 4 and over the years developed a passion for teaching as well as choreographing. In 2015, she moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA where she was able to pursue her interests and immerse herself in the university’s vibrant hip-hop community. What she loves most about dance is that it allows individuals to express themselves, build confidence, and collaborate with others. She is really excited to be sharing her love for dance at the DC Dance Center!

Hannah Keene

Faculty - Ballet

Hannah Keene grew up in Wellesley, MA and began training at the Boston Ballet School. She joined the Boston Ballet II at 17 and danced with the company for two years before joining the Kansas City Ballet. After three seasons in Kansas City, Keene joined the Los Angeles Ballet where she is currently a member in her third season.

Sara Silken

Guest Faculty/Choreographer

Sara is a Los Angeles based choreographer and filmmaker. After earning her B.A from UCLA World Arts and Cultures program she moved to Israel to study with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. This opportunity allowed her to immerse herself in Israeli contemporary dance and study various techniques that she utilizes in her movement practice and choreography: Forsythe, GaGa, continuum, and countertechnique.

Sara went on to pursue her own professional dance career in Los Angeles. She was an assistant choreographer to Barak Marshall and Sarah Elgart. Sara has performed for Heidi Duckler (Heidi Duckler Dance Theater), Kitty McNamee (Hysterica Dance Company), Josie Walsh (BalletRed), Nguyen Nguyen (LAMA), Laura Karlin (Invertigo Dance Theatre), IN/EX Dance Project, AXIOM (Denna Thomsen), and Teddy Forance. She has been in music videos choreographed by Ryan Heffington and Nina Mcneely. She was the main dancer in Secret Cinema's immersive concert experience for Laura Marling in London choreographed by Kitty Mcnamee.

As a choreographer she has created movement for the James Franco feature film the The Mad Whale, commercials for Samsung, and choreographed Billboard's #1 music video of 2017  Slip Away by Perfume Genius.

Sara earned her MFA from USC School of Cinematic Arts with an emphasis in screenwriting and directing. She is currently working on her short film that involves DANCE.


Keenan Washington

Marissa is from Portland Oregon where she started dancing at a young age. She moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue her training in dance at The EDGE Performing Arts Center’s scholarship program. She has trained with many of the industries’ top choreographers and has had the opportunity to perform with different artists and companies since being in LA.  Marissa loves to share her passion of dance with her students and looks forward to continuing to grow as a dancer and teacher.

Kim Davagian

Ballet, Modern, Yoga

Kim comes from Massachusetts where she trained at the Boston Ballet before getting her BFA from Fordham University/Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Upon graduation, she became a member of Heidi Latsky Dance in New York before relocating to California. After teaching and performing in and around the LA area, Kim moved to Colorado to take the artistic director role at NorthRidge Dance Conservatory. She also began teaching at both University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak Community College as an adjunct professor, teaching ballet technique and dance fundamentals, while becoming a certified yoga instructor at Corepower Yoga. Kim is honored to be a guest artist and master teacher at Ormao Dance Company and Synergy Dance Academy, as well as a recurring visiting instructor at the World Arena in Colorado, working with pre-professional and professional figure skaters training athletes ages 8-18 in various modern dance techniques. Between these guest engagements, she continues to teach ballet technique, Horton-based modern, tap, composition/choreography and yoga in Los Angeles. Kim recently earned her MFA in April of 2019 in Choreography from Jacksonville University, graduating with high honors.

After completing the Lester Horton Pedagogy Workshop at the Ailey School in New York, she has greatly enjoyed passing the dynamic and athletic Horton modern technique on to students around the world, most recently participating in a three-week residency and performance workshop in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, February of 2019.

 She is now back in Los Angeles and very happy to return to DC Dance Center!

Gina Oster

Acting Teacher

Theatre Director, started acting in high school.  She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree at UC Santa Cruz and a Masters of Fine Arts at UCLA.  Gina has performed in multiple shows in the Los Angeles area including the Los Angeles Theatre Center and Morgan-Wixson Theatre.  She has taught both theatre and voice at UCLA.  She is also a current member of Equity and SAG.

Jami Shapiro

Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical,                      Contemporary

Junior Company Director and                   Choreographer

Jami is a New York native and Los Angeles transplant with a little bit of everything in between, her dancing touring her throughout 47 states and six countries. She completed her undergraduate studies with a B.A in Dance Performance & Dance Education and a B.S Sports, Art & Entertainment Management from Point Park University. While on international tours with VEE Corporation as a featured role, swing dancer and assistant performance director, she continued her passion for arts administration by completing her M.B.A from University of Phoenix. New York performance credits include: Madison Square Garden with FLO Dance Company, three seasons as a soloist with BEings Dance and three seasons with ASEID Contemporary Dance Company as both a dancer and stage manager. Los Angeles performance credits include: Derek Mitchell’s SYTYCD submission, Hello Kitty Con, Robert McAtee iTunes album release, and a season with OdDancity. As a choreographer, Jami has assisted Cheryl Baxter on Sesame Street Live’s Make a New Friend and Hello Kitty’s KittyCon. She has also choreographed for ivivva in support of the Kind Campaign. Jami has taught extensively throughout the country, including Point Park University community classes, her alma mater Long Island High School for the Arts and numerous dance studios. Her most recent adventure was with London-based company, Awareness Through Dance, where she spent three weeks empowering the people of Ghana, Africa through dance education, choreography and performance.  Currently, Jami has moved to the administrative side of dance where she is the founder and director of the guiDANCE network, helping dance students navigate their way to post-secondary dance education.

Antwon Collier

Master Class Instructor

Antwon is a man of many talents. The Southern Florida native took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams. Shortly after his move, this talented force took the professional dance industry by storm, performing with Top Artists such as Janet Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Katy Perry and Janelle Monae.  He most recently toured with Camila Cabello.  With a smile that can brighten up any room, he has overcome obstacles that life and the industry have thrown at him.  Antwon continues to push through by inspiring others to follow their dreams, to never give up, and to not let fear hold them back. He takes pride in being bold, being limitless, and being the best YOU that you can be.  Catch him while you can!


Angel Mammoliti

Master Class Instructor

Originally from Buffalo New York, Angel Mammoliti is a dancer/choreographer/educator currently based in Los Angeles. She is a member of The Difference Between directed by Talia Favia and The Phoenix Ballet directed by Slawmoir Wozniak Sr. in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Entity Contemporary Dance directed by Marissa Osato and Will Johnston. She graduated from the University at Buffalo in May of 2016 earning a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelors degree in Psychology while training with the Joffrey School of Ballet in New York City and The Conteur Academy in Toronto, Canada. Angel has taught and performed internationally in Hong Kong and Singapore, as well Master Ballet Academy in Arizona, Edge Performing Arts Center, Kinjaz Dojo, and Movement Lifestyle in Los Angeles. She currently is on staff with Hollywood Vibe Dance Convention as a professional assistant, teacher, and adjudicator. Her style blends her technical jazz and ballet training with explorative movement pathways and diverse musicality creating a fusion of styles that can range from contemporary ballet to jazz-modern fusion.


Eugenia Rodriquez

Master Class Instuctor

Eugenia Rodriguez is originally from Monterrey, Mexico, where she started dancing at the age of two and received the majority of her dance training at Monique Dance Studio under the direction of Monique Letayf. Through the years she cultivated her passion, creativity and artistic interests, which led her to attend Chapman University. Eugenia graduated this past May with a B.F.A in Dance Performance and Entrepreneurship and Anthropology Minors. During her time at Chapman she had the opportunity to perform works by Will Johnston, Ido Tadmor, Sean Greene, Alicia Guy, and simultaneously had the opportunity to work also with Marissa Osato, Dwight Rhoden, Teddy Forance, Jenny Backhaus, and Liz Curtis. Eugenia has loved being highly involved at Chapman by choreographing for multiple concerts, serving as the President of Chapman Dance Alliance, Co-President of Team SHKA Hip-hop group and being a member of Chapman’s Dance Touring Ensemble. She has also participated in film projects like Lauren Black’s “Scared to be Lonely” music video and Alyssa Lemon’s “Neon Light’s” film. In addition she has performed at the McCallum Choreography Festival and expanded her training by attending to several dance intensives including Entity Contemporary Dance, Gaga LA, LACDC Contemporary Dance and Walnut Hill. Outside of school, she has taught and presented original work internationally in Mexico and the United States. She has traveled to and trained in Cuba, India, Canada, Mexico and different states in America, experiences that have influenced her unique, dynamic contemporary style. Eugenia looks forward to moving to Los Angeles after graduation and in pursuit of expanding her experiences, education in dance and paving her own professional career path. Eugenia is also thrilled to be a company member of Entity Contemporary Dance, a Los Angeles-based contemporary dance company under the direction of Will Johnston and Marissa Osato.
