Commitment Levels

There are programs for every commitment level -- from one or two dance classes per week to joining our Award-Winning Performance and Company Teams. We give all students the opportunity to showcase their hard work at performances throughout the year, including our Winter Nutcracker "Land of Sweets and Treats" show, Disneyland Performing Art Show, and Annual Spring Recital. In addition,  students on the Company Team attend several competitions and conventions across Southern California, such as Hall of Fame, Gravit8, Jump, Nuvo, 24Seven, West Coast Dance Explosion, Danerpalooza and The Dance Awards. DC Company  members win many awards and scholarships at these events. Many go on to major in Dance at colleges like NYU, UCLA and Chapman.

Diane Collins, Owner and Artistic Director

Originally from Boston, Diane trained at the Donna Miceli Dance Center of Boston for over 20 years, traveling and performing internationally.  Her training included classical ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance.  Diane also studied with the Boston Ballet and the Jeanette Neill Dance Studio.

After moving to LA, she opened DC Dance LA in Santa Monica as a performance and competitive dance studio for children ages 3 to 18. Ballet is a core component of DC's curriculum at all levels. All company dancers are required to enroll in ballet. Her annual Nutcracker showcases the dancers ballet technique, as well as some contemporary, jazz and modern pieces.

In 2021 Diane relocated DC Dance LA to a 4,000 square foot dance space in Culver City. This new space has created many opportunities for her and her students to perform and explore the world of dance.
